Anjing yang Nakal

There was once a Dog who was so ill-natured and mischievous that his Master had to fasten a heavy wooden clog about his neck to keep him from annoying visitors and neighbors.

The Fox & The Goat (Sang Rubah dan Sang Kambing)

 

A Fox fell into a well, and though it was not very deep, he found that he could not get out again. After he had been in the well a long time, a thirsty Goat came by.

Seekor Rubah jatuh ke dalam sumur, dan meskipun sumur itu tidak terlalu dalam, ia menyadari bahwa ia tidak dapat keluar lagi. Setelah lama berada di dalam sumur, datanglah seekor Kambing yang kehausan.

A Gnat flew over the meadow with much buzzing for a so small  creature and settled on the tip of one of the horns of a Bull.

Seekor Ngengat terbang di atas padang rumput dengan dengungan nyaring untuk makhluk sekecil itu dan hinggap di ujung salah satu tanduk Banteng.

The Lion & The Mouse (Sang Singa dan Tikus)

 

A Lion lay asleep in the forest, his great head resting on his paws. A timid little Mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the Lion's nose.

Seekor Singa berbaring tertidur di hutan, kepalanya yang besar bertumpu pada cakarnya. Tikus kecil yang penakut tiba-tiba datang kepadanya, dan dalam ketakutan dan tergesa-gesa untuk melarikan diri, berlari melintasi hidung Sang Singa.

A Fox one day spied a beautiful bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine trained along the branches of a tree.

Seekor Rubah suatu hari melihat seikat anggur matang yang indah tergantung dari pohon anggur yang teratur di sepanjang cabang-cabang pohon.

There was once a little Kid whose growing horns made him think he was a grown-up Billy Goat and able to take care of himself.

Pernah ada seekor anak kambing yang tanduknya tumbuh, membuatnya berpikir bahwa dia adalah Kambing Billy yang sudah dewasa dan mampu mengurus dirinya sendiri.

A poor Fisherman, who lived on the fish he caught, had bad luck one day and caught nothing but a very small fry.

Seorang pemancing miskin, yang bertahan hidup dengan ikan yang dia tangkap, suatu hari bernasib buruk dan tidak menangkap apa-apa selain seekor anak ikan yang sangat kecil.
